Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up we store your email address, display name (when provided by your sign-in provider), and account type (practitioner or family member). Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
• Learner ("speller") profiles. Information you choose to add about the learners you create lessons for — such as name, birthday, interests, and methodology preferences — so lessons can be tailored to them.
• Lessons and sessions. Topics and settings you submit for lesson generation, the lessons we create or you edit, session notes, and recorded answers you enter.
• Payment and billing information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details; we keep a Stripe customer identifier, subscription status, and related billing metadata needed to manage your plan and usage limits.
• Usage and device data. Basic technical information such as browser type and approximate usage events collected through cookies and analytics tools described below.
• Lesson edit sharing. Unless you turn this off in your profile, we save the lesson title, paragraph, question, or hashtag text you change, the paragraph a question belongs to, whether the account is a practitioner or a family, and which lesson generator created it.

How we use information

• To create, store, and display the lessons and learner profiles you make.
• To generate lesson content using AI based on the topics, learner details, and settings you provide.
• To manage your account, subscription, and monthly usage limits.
• To process payments and send billing-related notices through Stripe.
• To understand product usage and improve reliability and features.
• To improve future lesson generation from lesson edits you share, as described below.
• To respond to support requests you send us.

Lesson edit sharing

Lesson edit sharing is on unless you turn it off. When it is on, we save edits you make to a lesson title, paragraph, or question, along with the paragraph a question belongs to, whether the account is a practitioner or a family, and which lesson generator created it. We use that to improve future lessons.

We do not attach these edits to a speller. We do not save the rest of the lesson. We do not save session records, answers, or notes. If a name is written in the text you change, that name is part of the saved snippet.

Turning this off stops new edits from being saved. Edits already saved stay saved. You can change this any time from your profile.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication and to keep you signed in. We also use Google Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate product usage (for example, which pages are visited). Firebase Analytics may set or read cookies and collect device/browser information. We do not use this data for third-party advertising. You can limit analytics cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some product features.

Third-party services

We share information with the following providers only as needed to operate the service:

• Google Firebase — authentication, application hosting, and analytics.
• Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
• OpenAI — the topics, learner context, and lesson details you submit are sent to OpenAI to generate lesson content.
• Google Drive (optional). If you choose to export a lesson to Google Drive, we use the access you grant to save that file to your own Drive.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers (including Google Cloud) that store and serve the application and its data.

Information about children

Lessons are often created for minors. Any information about a learner is entered by the account holder (a practitioner or family member), who is responsible for having the right to provide it. We use this information only to provide the service and do not use it for advertising.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell your personal information. We retain your data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for backups, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. You can ask us to access or delete your information at any time by contacting us, and we will respond within a reasonable period.
